The Crescent Respite Story

At Crescent Respite, we specialize in providing a distinctive approach to respite care for NDIS participants. Our vision is to integrate therapeutic benefits into every aspect of our services, ensuring each stay promotes independent living and skill development.

We understand that many facilities offer respite as a break from daily routines, but participants often return without significant change. At Crescent Respite, we believe that true progress lies in therapeutic support, rejuvenation, and skill-building. This commitment to meaningful progress is at the heart of everything we do.

What Sets Crescent Respite Apart?

Our state-of-the-art facilities and dedicated team, including behavioural therapists, occupational therapists, and speech pathologists, work together to provide comprehensive care tailored to each participant’s unique needs. Whether you are staying in our therapeutic respite care, SDA homes, or SIL homes, you will receive the same high-quality services designed to enhance your well-being and independence.

Melbourne’s First Therapeutic Respite And SIL

At Crescent Respite, our name signifies new beginnings and the potential for positive change. Our mission is to make a real difference in people's lives by providing personalized, evidence-based respite care that supports recovery and rehabilitation. We are committed to tailoring our services to meet the unique needs of each participant, ensuring they receive the care they truly need.

We recognized that many respite services are not tailored to participants' needs or supported by evidence-based practices. We are passionate about offering something better – a more personalized approach. Our goal is to create a respite service that goes beyond just a break, focusing on genuine recovery and rehabilitation, ensuring everyone receives the care they truly need.

Today, we are proud to have established Melbourne’s first therapeutic respite facility under the Crescent Respite banner.

Next Mission

We're presently engaged in pioneering research on disability, in partnership with Monash Research Department. Our aim is to deliver unprecedented data on disability, which will serve as the cornerstone for evidence-based practices tailored specifically for our industry in Australia.

It brings us great pleasure to reveal that we are in the process of constructing Australia's first Therapeutic Hotel (coming soon).

Core Principles

Innovation

Innovation at Crescent Respite is not just about introducing new methods or ideas but about continuously seeking ways to improve and adapt to the ever-changing needs of our participants. We believe in pushing boundaries, thinking outside the box, and finding novel solutions to challenges. This value drives us to stay ahead of industry trends and offer services that are not only effective but also unique and forward-thinking.

Leadership

Leadership for us means taking initiative, setting standards, and guiding others towards achieving our shared vision. It's about being proactive, taking responsibility, and inspiring both our team and our participants to reach their fullest potential. As leaders in therapeutic respite, we aim to set benchmarks for excellence and be role models in the industry.

Authenticity

At Crescent Respite, authenticity means being genuine, transparent, and true to our mission and values in all our interactions. We believe in building trust through honesty and integrity. Our commitment to authenticity ensures that our participants and their families can rely on us to provide services that are genuine and in their best interest.

Humility

While we take pride in our achievements and the quality of our services, we also recognize the importance of humility. We understand that there's always room for growth and learning. By approaching every situation with humility, we remain open to feedback, new ideas, and continuous improvement.

Respect

Respect is foundational to all our interactions at Crescent Respite. We treat every individual, whether it's our participants, their families, or our staff, with the utmost dignity and consideration. Recognizing the inherent worth of every person, we ensure that our services are inclusive and cater to the diverse needs of our participants.

Resilience

Resilience is about facing challenges head-on, adapting to adversities, and emerging stronger. At Crescent Respite, we instill resilience not only in our operational strategies but also in the therapeutic services we offer. We empower our participants to overcome obstacles, build inner strength, and rediscover themselves with renewed vigor.

Vision

To be the premier provider of holistic therapeutic respite and accommodation services, where our transdisciplinary approach sets the standard for excellence, transforming the lives of individuals with disabilities and fostering a more inclusive community.

To lead in delivering innovative therapeutic respite, SIL, and SDA services through a transdisciplinary approach, empowering individuals with disabilities to achieve independence and enhanced well-being.
