Disability related health supports are designed to help NDIS participants get health care for disability related issues. These health supports can be purchased using NDIS funding and cover a range of areas of health care.
The list of fundable health supports changes regularly, with more being added depending on circumstances. To be eligible for health support funding, you need to make sure the supports you're looking to get funding for:
directly relate to a participant’s significant and permanent functional impairment and
assist you in undertaking daily living activities.
You must also be able to prove that the health supports you're applying for directly relate to your disability and that you require them on a regular basis.
If you fit into those categories, then you may be eligible for additional health support funding.
We have state of the art short-term respite centres located across the city, close to scenic areas and lively streets. With short walks to local parks, public transport, and shops, Crescent Respite is ideal for suburban getaways.
How to apply for disability related health supports
Disability related health supports are developed and implemented by The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) in alignment with State and Territory health departments.
If you're already an NDIS participant and have disability related health needs, you may be eligible for disability related health supports. Discuss your needs with your support coordinators and they will be able to provide you with more information, as well as connect you with the supports that are right for you.
